Family Weekend Out to Munnar

Saturday the 28th of November, 15 families started off to Mountain Club Resort at Chinnacanal, Munnar. On the way there was a stopover at Sq.Leg Bechu's Plantation in Munnar.

Tr. Joseph Simon celebrated his birthday on the 19th of November with lots of Ice Cream and Fellowship at Korter Ice Cream Parlour.

RTI WEEK @ CBRT 131

DAY 1: 10^th November- National Publicity Day

Unveiling of the hoarding at Vytilla and SA road.

Installation of welcome boards at 5 entry points to the city.

Distribution of scholarship to 20 students of LP school, Chitoor

Day 2: 11^th November

On 11^th November as a part of RTI Week Celebration, CBRT 131 distributed clothes and a sum of Rs 16000/- was donated to Br.Amal, Founder of Evangel Ashram.

Day 3: 13^th November-Tare Zameen Par

Painting for the differently abled was held at Shilpa School, Palluruthy.60 students participated in the event. Certificate of participation was given to all participants.

Day 4: 14th November- Children’s day

Breakfast was arranged for the children at Santhwanam. Iddiappam and Chicken stew prepared by the tablers were served with Ice cream. The tablers also had their breakfast with the children. Gift hampers containing sweets, biscuits, chips, books and pencils were given to every child.

Day 5: 15^th November

ENT camp- Dr George Kuruvilla

Neurology camp- Dr Gigy Kuruttukulam

Pediatric camp- Dr Jeeson Unni

Orthopedic camp- Dr Rajesh Simon

Dental camp- Dr K P Cherian

Jumble sale was conducted at LP School Chitoor where the table was able to collect Rs 45120/-

Day 6: 17^th November –National Epilepsy Day

CBRT 131 in association with the Indian Epilepsy Association conducted the National Epilepsy Day as part of its Round Table Epilepsy Initiative. The event was telecast on Asianet

News and was aired on Radio Mango 91.9

A Vehicle rally was conducted from Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium to DH Ground. The rally was flagged of by Projects Convenor Tr. John Thayil and Dr Sreekumar an eminent and senior Neurosurgeon. 30 vehicles participated in the rally.

In the evening there was the official inauguration of the Round Table Epilepsy Initiative at the IMA Hall, through which 100 school going epileptic children would be screened and evaluated to assess their cognitive and learning disorders over a period of one year and corrective measures would be taken as a follow up study. Ernakulam Dsitrict Collector Dr. Beena inaugurated the function. Chairman, Area 1, Tr.Sujay Giridharan and CBRT Chairman Tr.Rakesh Ramachandran presided at the function.

CBRT131 handed over the contribution of Rs.50, 000/- to Dr.B.Rajendran towards the Joint Epilepsy Programme.

Day 7: 20^th November

Family outing at the Movies – 20 Tablers and their family had a fellowship dinner at Fries restaurant followed by the movie Pazhassi Raja.

Day 8: 21^st November-Children’s Day Out and Joint Social on National Fellowship Day

Childrens day out was celebrated at Oberon mall with lunch and games

On the Natrional Fellowship Day CBRT 131 celebrated a Joint Social with 6 Tables - Palghat Round Table & Kannur Round Table, from Area 7 and Trichur Round Table, Allepey Round Table, and Quilon Round Table from Area 1, at Casino Hotel. The theme was Costume Party.
