The IPL SOCIAL
Faraz and Asma always go the extra mile to give their best to whatever they do, and they proved that yet again at the IPL social which they hosted on the 28th of May 2010.
When Faraz informed the table that the theme is IPL, nobody could have imagined the scale of things on the anvil.
At the venue, Cochin Club, the tablers were amazed to see flood lit grounds with a practice carpet and fully fledged cricket gear all waiting for them. The newly sponsored table’s team was titled “Ernakulam Indians”, the 131 team, “Cochin Backwater Superkings” and were allocated distinguishing uniforms of blue and yellow. The ladies and kids were given cheer leader gear to make the picture complete.
As the match unwound there were blood curling war cries and cheering.
After the 10 over match, Cochin Backwater Superkings team won with a 7 run lead.
The Chairman gave away the awards for the best performers and Prospective Manoj of Ernakulam RT won the best fielder award. Tr. Binu George, Tr. Chacko and Tr. Rakesh Ramachandran of 131 won the best bowler, batsman and all rounder awards.
After the match and much backslapping, the group moved into the period interiors of the club building, to continue the fun, where they were greeted by a dance floor and a rocking DJ. After a short meeting, it was wine, dine and dancing till the wee hours.
