A simple 24 hour affair!
We flew in... Had a dozen laughs en-route thanks to Iona. Followed Bindu at the airport, haggled with taxi walla and took the AC Volvo bus to UB City.
Renu was there to greet us as we arrived at UB City… Check in… Exactly 10 minutes to freshen up and leave for the city!!
Mantri Square here we come. The biggest mall in India sure didn’t see us coming.
We split into two groups… extensive shopping – Marks & Spencer, Lifestyle, Shoppers Stop, Pantaloons, Metro… shopping for the husbands, the kids and the mothers-in-law. All bags in hand we head for the hotel to relax.
A brief walk in UB city and quick shower later a table at Shiro was filled with the ladies of 131.
Apple Martinis and Japanese food followed. A brief interlude with the ladies… toast for the first lady… some new wine colored concoction as a final shot… and we head downstairs to the cafes. Mango pastries and chocolate mousse followed a filling Chinese dinner where we wished Bindu for her anniversary.
A rather relaxed day followed… Hit the shops or the spa… anything to suit your convenience.
The entire trip was filled with the best of everything… accommodation, food, shopping and most of all the company! Thank you ladies! We should do this again soon!
